Rockville Correctional Facility Deputy Warden of Operations Stacey Milner has announced the promotions of Correctional Sergeants Nickolas (Nick) Brueggeman and Jaimie (Sandi) Sandifer to the rank of correctional lieutenant.

Brueggeman began his career at RCF as a correctional officer in September 2002 and was promoted to correctional sergeant in March of 2006. Throughout his years at RCF,

He has demonstrated an outstanding work ethic ensuring no task goes undone, and no co-worker goes without the assistance he or she needs to succeed.

Sandifer earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminology from Indiana State University, which she first put to use in the Vigo County Drug Court, then the Vigo County Juvenile Center. In March of 2012, she joined the staff at RCF as a correctional officer. In September of 2014, she was promoted to correctional sergeant. She too has proven herself to be a reliable co-worker and first line supervisor who sacrifices personal recognition and reward while ensuring mission accomplishment.

A correctional lieutenant at RCF supervises several correctional sergeants, dozens of correctional officers and upwards of one thousand offenders while interacting with various other facility departments, ensuring the safety and security of staff, offenders and the community at large.

Milner said, “Please join me in congratulating Lieutenant Brueggeman, and Lieutenant Sandifer on these promotions they have earned. They have a challenging road ahead of them, but I’m confident they will succeed.”
