I am a native of Logansport, Ind., a 1978 graduate of ISU’s Communications program and have spent a total of 30 years in newspapers and 10 years in television. I spent the first 2 years after graduation coaching and teaching high school. From 1979-2009 I was in front-line and/or management positions at newspapers and newspaper groups in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota. Then from 2009-2019 I’ve worked at the No. 1-rated TV station of the 5 in Grand Rapids, Mich., which is market No. 39 nationally.
