Earth and Environmental Systems
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a minor in Geology from ISU in 1999. During my undergraduate coursework, I became interested in the use of analytical software for the earth and environmental sciences fields known as GIS, or Geographic Information Systems. My ISU degree and the experience gained from coursework and an internship with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) provided many employment and career opportunities.
I have worked in state government, the private sector, and the academic sector while continuing higher education opportunities provided by my employer. I have a Master’s degree in Information Science from Indiana University and am currently a Ph.D. student in the IU School of Informatics and Computer Engineering. I am also full time staff with the Research Analytics team at Indiana University.
