Linda Luebke String Festival
Named after Linda Luebke, a cellist and beloved Music Education professor at Indiana State University from 2008 until her passing in 2013, the Linda Luebke String Festival is hosted at Indiana State University and offers string students in grades 5-12 an opportunity to build their musical skills and abilities. This 2-day event features guest artists, guest educators, small and large ensembles, technique classes, music theory, and other enrichment activities.
The 2024 festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 28-29. In addition, a pre-festival chamber music recital will take place on Friday evening, September 27, at 7:30pm. The Indiana State University Faculty Piano Trio will perform the music of Beethoven and Brahms in the Boyce Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts. All string students are welcome and trial lessons and/or auditions can be scheduled by contacting Dr. Yunjung Lee at (Yunjung.Lee@indstate.edu).
