Music Career Day
Music Career Day, scheduled for November 4, 2024, is an all-day event tailored to college-bound high school juniors and seniors and will provide you with information about musical opportunities at ISU. This special event offers information about music degrees and professions, private lessons and ensembles, course study, auditions, enrollment, and financial aid so that you can make wise preparations for college. Auditions will be available for students seeking to gain admittance to the ISU School of Music as majors or minors and/or for performance scholarship consideration. In addition, if you choose to, you may apply and gain admittance status while you are on campus! The event typically runs from 8:30am to 4pm with auditions occurring during the 4:00 hour. An official schedule is available below.
There are many opportunities for scholarships available to prospective ISU students. To qualify for as many as possible, you should apply as soon as possible. Additional information regarding scholarships is available on the University Scholarship pages.
If you plan to attend this free event, please fill out the online registration form or send in the printable registration form available below. Parents are also welcome to accompany you. Music Career Day is especially informative and exciting, and we hope you can attend. However, if you are unable to attend, we will be happy to schedule an audition and information session at another time. Students must audition and be admitted to the University by March 3, 2025, in order to be considered for School of Music scholarships.
