Give To Blue Day

Give To Blue DayOn Wednesday, March 11, 2020 Indiana State University will embark on the second annual GIVE TO BLUE day. This is a 24-hour fundraising and engagement opportunity for Indiana State University students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends. Last year, this initiative raised more than $425,000 for the University. This year, the University’s main goal is to increase the total number of donors to 1,865 (coinciding with the founding year of the university). This is a tremendous opportunity for all of us to provide continued support for students in the ISU School of Music. Each year, our music students and faculty represent our University in venues all over the world. Not just in performance, but business and research forums as well. School of Music alumni have a tremendous global impact in every aspect of professional musicianship. With this in mind, I am issuing a challenge to all current and former members of the ISU School of Music family. On March 11, 2020, I will donate $1.00 for every individual donation of $10 or more made to the School of Music…up to $250.00. Additionally, if the School of Music has the highest number of total donors within the College of Arts & Sciences (16 academic units!), I will double my pledge.

On March 11, 2020 (midnight to midnight!), go to Through easy to follow instructions, you will be given the option to designate your gift via a drop down menu. One of those options will be “other”. If you click on “other”, you can type in Friends of Music, School of Music, University Bands, University Choirs, etc. You can also designate your gift to a specific music scholarship in the ISU Foundation. All of this can be done very quickly online. So please, on March 11, 2020…GIVE TO BLUE…and the ISU School of Music. I thank you in advance for your consideration. I hope it will be a positively BLUE day for the ISU School of Music.

Most sincerely,

Dr. Scott Buchanan, Director
School of Music
