President

Elesa L. McDonald

My name is Elesa L. McDonald. I am majoring in biology focused towards pre-veterinary area and am a sophmore. As the president I will reside over all meetings. I will be responsible spreading the word of what the Pre-Veterinary club is all about. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me. You most likely find me in the science building any day of the week or library.

I grew up on a farm with a great deal of animals and agricultural work. I spent my summers participating in 4-H and my school’s supervised agricultural experience. I worked with animals ranging from horses to goats to dogs to cats to exotics like bearded dragons and many others. I have previously had presidential positions in high school that include our chapter FFA and chapter NHS. Additionally, with the beauty of the countryside where I’m from I also loved to capture all the beautiful animals and flowers and rustic scenery with my camera.

After I graduate from ISU I plan on attending, hopefully, the University of Illinois where I will focus on areas of large animal, equine, companion animal, and exotic animals.

Fun Fact 1: I’ve never had the desire to be anything other than a veterinarian. I chose this profession in kindergarten and have never lost my footing in the uphill battle to become a veterinarian.

Fun Fact 2: I love writing but more specifically writing poetry.
