Dr. Leavitt received his Ph.D. in 2016 from the University of Arizona. His primary research interests are, broadly speaking, culture and identity and, more specifically, how culture and social identity frameworks apply to things like social class and intergroup communication. He teaches courses in social psychology, cultural psychology, human sexuality, and diversity and ethics in psychology.
