​If you are interested in being a part of the Sycamore Basketball Band, please fill out this information form. 

The Sycamore Basketball Band performs at Men's and Women's home games at the Hulman Center, as well as postseason tournament games at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournaments in St. Louis, MO (Men) and Moline, IL (Women). If either team qualifies for the NCAA or NIT tournaments, the Sycamore Basketball Band performs for those games as well. Music performed tends to be of the Rock/Pop variety, with many custom arrangements of popular music from all eras. 

Membership for wind players (piccolo, clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, mellophone, trombone, baritone, and sousaphone) is open to all students on campus, whether or not they are music majors; auditions for the drumset players and bass guitarists are held at the beginning of October.

During the Fall semester, the SBB plays at a few selected home games and will rehearse 3-4 times in preparation for these games. In the Spring semester, the class meets Mondays and Wednesdays for rehearsal from 4 to 5pm. Members must register for MUS 169B or 369B (Basketball Band) during each semester they wish to participate. Regular rehearsals end by mid-March (unless one or both teams qualify for the NCAA Tournament).
