Juried Student Show

All students of ISU are invited to submit to the annual Juried Show. This exhibition, installed in the University Art Gallery during spring semester, is juried by a visiting artist each year. Scholarships, purchase awards, and other forms of recognition are awarded through the Juried Show.

Spring 2021 Juried Student Show:

Physical submission and drop-off will take place February 15 - 17, 11am - 4pm in the University Art Gallery
Juror: Mark Braught, Graphic Designer and Illustrator
February 22 and 23, 11am - 4pm in UAG: artwork pickup for artwork not chosen
March 1 - 23: Exhibition open to the public in UAG
March 4, 4 - 6 pm: Opening Reception and Award Ceremony, via Zoom

Eligibility
Any degree-seeking student currently enrolled at ISU may submit work for the juror's review.  Entries must have been completed while enrolled at ISU and not previously exhibited in the University Art Gallery.  Students may enter up to three works; series will be considered as one entry/work.

Presentation
All work must be ready for installation.  Two-dimensional work must be framed and wired or otherwise ready to hang.  Work will not be accepted for jury if it is not ready for installation.  All video and digital works must be saved on USB drives.  Professional matting and framing of two-dimensional work is encouraged and may increase your chance of being selected by the juror.  Works must be identified on the back with the artist's name and title of work.  Labels will be provided with the entry forms.  All entries must be accompanied by a completed loan aggreement.

Other Information
Our juror will be judging these works virtually.  It is highly recommended that you take your own photos and bring those on a flashdrive when you drop off your work to ensure that you know the quality of the photo being judged.  We will also be taking photos of your work to send to the juror if photos were not submitted in dropoff.  If your piece requires specific installation, please include photo or video documentation with your submission.
Make sure to go to the Branch (https://indstate.academicworks.com) and sign up for the general application for scholarships or else you will not be eligible to receive scholarship money.
