Indiana State Experience Grant -
Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities

Eligible activities for this grant include research or creative activities for undergraduate students working with a faculty mentor which involve the development or use of disciplinary and/or professional knowledge or skills to advance scholarly questions or creative expression. 

Applications must include: 1) a letter from the faculty mentor confirming that the student is accepted to participate in the experience, how the student will be supervised by the mentor, and how the experiences will be coordinated by the mentor; 2) an itemized estimate of the cost for the experience and a general description of how many hours will be involved in the experience (see funding amounts related to hours involved below); 3) a description of the project or activity to be supported by the Experience Grant, not to exceed 500 words. This essay should thoroughly describe the objectives and details of the proposed activity; and 4) a description of how learning, training, and reflection for the student are structured elements of the experience.

April 15, 2024 - complete applications due in the Branch for Summer 2024 experiences

June 1, 2024 - complete applications due in the Branch for Fall 2024 experiences

November 1, 2024 - complete applications due in the Branch for Spring 2025 experiences

April 1, 2025 - complete applications due in the Branch for Summer 2025 experiences

Funding amounts:
Up to $1,000 for undergraduate research and creative activities involving less than 200 hours
Up to $1,500 for undergraduate research and creative activities involving 200 hours and more
