The award was established in 2002 by friends and colleagues of Dr. Huffman-Joley, former Dean and professor of education, to honor her work and many contributions to Indiana State University, the teaching profession and especially to the PDS Partnership. The award will benefit outstanding students from Indiana State University's PDS Partnership Schools who are interested in pursuing degrees in teacher preparation. Selection will be made by a committee of Professional Development Schools' Partners appointed by the Dean.
