Description

"Feminine fertility deity or ferocious destroyer who devours cadavers like a dog? Feminist Faith Fiction and a campaign to domesticate the frightening Sumerian Goddess Inanna." Susan Kray, Ph.D., presents her interdisciplinary research on religion and storytelling as these two factors interact in the context of a feminist spirituality movement. Her analysis proceeds with a mighty assist from the world’s first named author, Enheduanna, High Priestess of Ur, 23rd Century BCE. The department of communication invites faculty, staff and graduate students to join for this first presentation in the Spring 2018 Faculty Forum Series.
