Description

Are you a more-frequent IRB consumer or researcher? If so, would you like a human subjects research "booster shot"?

In this session, presenters will focus on IRB submission protocol topics and best practices in human subjects research, gleaned from the professional literature and state and federal training on the subject. Intended as a booster-shot-of-sorts, this presentation will offer a brief review of the overarching principles upon which human subjects research is reviewed; and then address topics and issues that have prompted questions or concerns from researchers and IRB reviewers alike.

Panelists will share methods for streamlining research protocol submissions and address questions the audience might have. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet IRB members, hear the individual philosophies/practices informing their reviews; and learn what particular issues they may focus on when reviewing protocol.
