It’s All CLAY-tastic

Ages: 8-12

Students will learn hand-building skills and techniques: pinch pot, coil, and slab. The pottery wheel will also be available to use for throwing a pot, bowl, or cup. A trinket box with lid, clay mask, clay whistle, a castle, "piggy" bank, and a bobble-head are just some of the projects children will be completing. Students will return after work has been bisque fired to glaze and finish clay pieces. There will be other finishing options to try, too! Returning students are welcome and will be challenged to build upon skills previously learned. Materials are provided.
