Description

United Campus Ministries is inviting the campus and community to join its Monday lunchtime sessions examining the Netflix documentary miniseries "The Family". The first episode will be discussed at the opening session of the fall Campus & Community Series from noon to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 28, on the upper floor of United Campus Ministries, 321 N. Seventh St. "The Family" is based on the 2008 book by reporter Jeff Sharlet, focuses on the Christian organization that sponsors the National Prayer Breakfast and the influence the group wields on decision-makers in Washington, D.C., and abroad. The Rev. Dawn Black will facilitate discussions about the intertwining of faith and politics – and possible ramifications for the nation. Lunch will be provided. To reserve a lunch, please call United Campus Ministries, 812-232-0186, or email thunitedcampusministries.org. Those who wish to bring their own lunch are welcome to do so.
