Description

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is a fantastic time to help students, faculty, and staff brush up on their knowledge of Title IX policies and procedures when it comes to consent, sexual assault and prevention.

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX and Residential Life will be viewing a TED Talk by Al Vernacchio (Sex Needs a New Metaphor) and a panel of professionals to talk about sexual assault awareness and how the ISU campus can help in preventative measures and also help those who have been affected by sexual assault.

The members of the panel include: Al Perone from Inside Out, Kourtney Barrett from Equal Opportunity and Title IX, Amanda Hobson from the Women\'s Resource Center, Sergeant Smith from ISU Police, and a sexual assault nurse examiner from Union Hospital.

Pizza and drinks will be provided for students, faculty, and staff who attend the event. Questions for the panel can either be asked out loud, or there will be the an option for anonymous questions as well.
