Description
Webinar: A panel discussion on the interactions of redlining, racism, and real estate, and how these collectively helped shape many of the current issues facing the U.S. The divisions of modern U.S. cities did not arise by accident. Real estate practices, federal loan programs, and even local ordinances combined to reinforce a process known as "redlining", a practice that barred certain groups from obtaining mortgages and purchasing homes in specific neighborhoods. Such practices, overtime, reinforced disparities in wealth, education, and safety and are reflected in current demographic data. Zoom link: https://indstate-edu.zoom.us/j/92289974464.
