This session will focus on community engaged scholarship as a natural extension of effective teaching, research and creativity and service, a review relevant of ISU policies that govern tenure, promotion and biennial faculty reviews, provide practical examples of discipline-based community engaged scholarship, introduce a variety of peer-reviewed journals focused on community engagement and provide practical tips on how faculty might strategize for success. Interested faculty should register prior to Feb. 24, 2016.

Panelists include Dr. Catherine Stemmans Paterson, professor of applied medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Nancy Brattain Rogers, vice president for university engagement, Dr. Steven Stofferahn, associate professor of history, and Dr. Kandi Hill Clark, dean of the Bayh College of Education.
