Description

Crowdsourced course materials is an emerging ed tech business model that is quickly growing traction. In this model, students and faculty are actively scouted to contribute their personal class notes, lecture slides, papers, and more to an online platform. What faculty and students don't know is that in sharing their authored material, there are several issues that need to be considered; including copyright, ownership and privacy. Come learn what these platforms are and what you as an information consumer and creator need to consider when interacting with these platforms.
