Description

Since 1947, when the classic A Streetcar Named Desire blazed onto the Broadway scene, the play has been hailed as Tennessee William's best play and one of the finest plays in the American theater. Stanley and Stella live happily in New Orlean's French Quarter when Stella's sister Blanche arrives after experiencing setbacks in her life that return to haunt her. Household disruptions and tensions mount as love interests go on and off the tracks, leading to a final show-down between down-to-earth no-holds-barred Stanley and the delicate, trafficker-in-illusions Blanche, leading to traumatic life-chanign consequences for all three. A Streetcar Named Desire will show in the New Theater on ISU Campus, 536 N. 7th St. 47809. Adult tickets are $10, Non-ISU Student Tickets are $5 with a valid student ID, and ISU Student Tickets are free with a valid ISU student ID.
