Using Discussion Boards to Deepen Learning

In this interactive session, learn how to best design your discussion prompts to foster deep learning while meeting your intended instructional goals and motivating students to think critically. We will also explore several discussion board features to help instructors guide the conversations and encourage dialogue. Finally, participants will reflect on multiple methods for evaluating and offering feedback on discussion board activities to facilitate the grading process and augment learning.
