Willy Shakes Pair

Two ISU playwrights present contemporary spins on the greatest of English dramatists. In Tim Dick’s “Wherefore Art Thou,” a lovesick Romeo finally gets a date with rebel Rose Allen…and it’s way more than he bargained for. “I See Dead People,” by Nancy Jane Thompson, sees Hamlet and Ophelia striving to break up their parents’ hasty engagement. And in “Funeral for a Sonnet,” also by Tim Dick, Henry finds that the other mourners at his lover’s funeral approach grieving a little differently.
