Indiana State University will begin distributing the third round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Grants known as the American Rescue Plan (ARP) in late September. Emails will be sent to eligible students inviting them to submit their request for grant funds, which are for the sole purpose of providing assistance for educational expenses or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.
Students have the option of authorizing ISU to apply the funds to their account balance or they may elect to receive the funds in the form of a direct payment. Grant amounts will be based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with priority given to those with exceptional need. Students who do not submit a FAFSA are eligible for a flat amount.
You ARE eligible for this grant if you:
- Are enrolled in a degree-seeking program during Fall 2021;
- File an application. The link to the application will be provided in an email to eligible students.
ARP grant amounts range from $200 - $3,000 based on financial need. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning September 28, 2021.
