About Indiana State's Financial Literacy Initiative

The Office of Student Financial Aid and other University offices have collaborated with Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TG) to provide financial literacy awareness for students at Indiana State University.  The goal is to provide resource tools to help students learn more about personal finance.

One resource is the TG Learning Center, an online interactive tool available 24/7 to all students and their families.  In addition, Indiana State faculty and staff can schedule presentations for their students.

Schedule a Presentation for Your Students

  • TG Learning Center Presentations:  Topics include setting goals, managing credit, and spending plans for students to use when managing personal finance.  Presentations are offered September - November for the fall semester and February - March for the spring semester.  Faculty and Staff can schedule a presentation three weeks in advance by contacting Brenda Hall at Brenda.Hall@indstate.edu.

  • Money Matters Presentations: Topics include taking control of financial aid through the FAFSA process, managing credit, and budgeting in order to eliminate wasteful spending and to control student loan borrowing.  Presentations are offered September - November for the fall semester and February - March for the spring semester.  Faculty and Staff can schedule a presentation three weeks in advance by contacting Brenda Hall at Brenda.Hall@indstate.edu.
