Department of Applied Health Sciences
Indiana State University invites you to be a part of our institution’s history by participating in our first day of giving. Give to Blue Day is a 24-hour fundraising and engagement opportunity for Indiana State University students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends. If you prefer, you can give to individual colleges or departments.
The Department of Applied Health Sciences is one of seven departments in the College of Health and Human Services.
The departmental programs focus on health promotion, individual and population health-related behavior changes as well as on the prevention of chronic and communicable illnesses, injuries, and accidents. The ultimate goal of all the programs in the department is to improve quality of life for both individuals and communities.
An ongoing demand exists for competent professionals and specialists in the areas of allied health, health promotion and disease prevention in both the public and private sectors.
Graduates from the programs will be well prepared for careers in academic, private and governmental settings.
