The Higher Learning Commission Reaffirms Accreditation through 2030-31. 

We are pleased to announce that the Higher Learning Commission notified President Curtis in December 2020 of the continued accreditation of Indiana State University, with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2030-31. The President and Provost have extended their gratitude to Accreditation Liaison Officer Dr. Susan Powers and the many faculty, staff, and students who supported the Reaffirmation process through leadership and membership on committees, gathering and documentation of evidence, and participation in the HLC review team virtual visit. Save the Date for Open Sessions with the HLC peer review team!

Faculty, Staff, and Students are encouraged to save the date to attend open sessions with the HLC peer reviewers on Monday, Septebmer 14. Times for each group's open session are now posted under the "Campus Visit Information" link on this site. More information coming soon. 

Student Feedback Survey Open April 6 - April 15

A survey was sent by Provost Licari to all student email addresses today to encourage them to give feedback as part of our HLC reaffirmation of accreditation process.  We ask for the faculty's assistance to encourage students to submit the survey and provide us with valuable insights.  

Assurance Argument Draft Feedback Sought - Now through February 28

We are excited to present our first draft of the assurance argument to the ISU community.  Your feedback, evidence, and quesitons are requested to help ensure the argument accurately reflects our institution and our work.  Please find the draft and the feedback survey link under the "Assurance Argument" tab on this site.  The survey will remain open through February 28.  Thank you to all who have particpiated in preparing the draft!  

Quality Initiative Report Accepted by the Higher Learning Commission 

We are pleased to announce that President Curtis received a positive evaluation of our Quality Initiative by the Higher Learning Commission on September 4, 2019.  The report met all criteria for evaluation and has been accepted.  The full text of the evalution can be found here:

ISU participates in the HLC's Open Pathway for accreditation.  Institutions on the Open Pathway must identify a major improvement effort called the "Quality Initiative" to undertake between years 5 and 9 of the accreditation cycle.  We recently filed the report on our Quality Initiative, which you can read below.

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) reviews and receives feedback on its Criteria for Accreditation every five years.  The revision has been adopted and will go into effect September 1, 2020.
