The Employee Relations staff has developed Manager/Supervisor Resources and other various Training and Development resources to provide Indiana State University managers and supervisors with some of the resources and information they need to be successful, including but not limited to tips on documenting employee performance, coaching for success, and conflict resolution. Please also refer to the Training and Development resources.
When possible, employees are encouraged to resolve grievances informally through discussions with their supervisors. The grievance procedure is a formal process through which an Indiana State University employee can bring a workplace concern to upper levels of management. The staff grievance procedure is outlined in the PDF Staff Council bylaws. Employee Relations staff assist employees with submitting grievances, and coach managers on responding to grievances. This helps ensure that grievances are handled timely by all parties.
In the event that an employee separates employment with Indiana State University, you will need information about benefits, property that should be returned to ISU, as well as other important information. Please refer to the PDF Separation Checklist and Separation Checklist Procedures for a list of items to complete before your last day of employment.
