International Student Orientation
Congratulations on your acceptance to Indiana State University (ISU). We are very excited that you have chosen Indiana State University to pursue your higher education experience and we look forward to having you on our campus. These are difficult times, we are steadfast in ensuring that you receive an educational experience that you have sought for.
Ensuring your health and wellbeing is the cornerstone of providing a wholesome environment within which to live, work and study. To that end, Indiana State University requires all students arriving from another country to self-quarantine for 14 days before arriving on campus. All undergraduate students are required to arrive in the United States no later than July 27th and graduate students no later than August 4th. For any reason if you believe you might not be able to arrive in the US by the above date, I would encourage you to defer your admission to spring 2021 or a later term. You can defer your admission for up to one academic year. To request deferment of admission please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Required new student orientation
Because of the current COVID 19 situation, fall 2020 orientation will be delivered virtually. All undergraduate, graduate and non-degree seeking students are required to attend the virtual orientation. To enroll for the virtual orientation please register at https://www.indstate.edu/new-student-programs/orientation/international. Only after you register for orientation will you receive detailed instructions on how to access orientation through the Indiana State University learning portal “Blackboard”. You can access the orientation materials starting Monday, July 27th and you must complete it before Thursday, August 13th. Please register for the orientation only if you are certain you will be attending Indiana State University during fall 2020.
