Mark Adkins

Director, Hulman Memorial Student Union

Mark has been the Director of the Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU) since November 2014. The HMSU is a 105,000 square foot facility that accommodates over 1.3 million visitors per year and hosts more than 6,000 events per year. Mark manages a staff of 20 Indiana State University professionals and 35 student workers.

Mark is a member of the Association of College Unions International. Prior to being the HMSU Director, Mark served 25 years in the United States Air Force with an emphasis in space and nuclear operations. Mark’s last assignment in the Air Force was as the Air Force ROTC Commander at Indiana State University and Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. In Feb 2015, he retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Mark has an undergraduate degree in Forestry from Iowa State University and a MBA from Webster University. Mark and his wife, Robin, have one son, Cory.
