Reflections on AI & Creativity

The debate over AI's impact on creativity when it comes to production is a fascinating one, as it confronts our conventional views on creativity and the nature of being a creative agent. It prompts us to reconsider the role of human agency, the authenticity of originality, and the essence of artistic expression. As the field of Machine Learning (often referred to as Artificial Intelligence in mainstream discussions) advances rapidly, it brings to the forefront several critical questions in creative domains. For instance, is there a future where AI supplants visual artists?

TILT Your Assignment!

Wednesday, March 6th, from 2- 3 p.m. As a follow-up to Dr. Tia Brown McNair's visit last week, come to the FCTE and bring one of your course assignments! We will walk through the process of TILT-ing it to increase the transparency of our learning expectations. This is a great opportunity for everyone to make ONE small change as the Faculty Senate is promoting an effort to reach more students for academic success. ISU Faculty Brass Recital

The ISU School of Music presents the Faculty Recital Series,, ISU Faculty Brass concert: "Brass around the World" We are offering a free evening of brass music, featuring music from multiple countries around the world. During the concert, we provide a little narration to describe each piece as well. Please plan to join us at 7:30 pm, Monday, March 4 in the Boyce Recital Hall, located inside the Landini Center for the Performing and Fine Arts, located at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut Streets! FAFSA for 2024-25

21st Century Scholars host in conjunction with The Office of Financial Aid:

You are invited to attend the Office of Student Financial Aid, FAFSA Event. This FAFSA event will cover the changes to the FAFSA for 2024-25 and help you understand how to complete your FAFSA for next year.

The Event will take place on March 5th & 6th, 2024. It is in the Science Building Room 138 from 3:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. (both days).
