Faculty and staff who require a computer, as well as other technology related tools, are provided with either a desktop or laptop configured with Microsoft Windows. Requests for Macintosh or other devices are considered on a case by case basis and generally require the approval of directors, department chairs, and/or deans. With limited exceptions due to academic needs, all university provided desktop and laptop computers are centrally managed by the Office of Information Technology and are configured to maintain baseline performance and security standards.
