Orientation

The Office of New Student Transition Programs (NSTP) coordinates orientation and transition programs for all first-year and transfer, domestic and international students. Our office also includes Family Programs and Commuter Life.

We’re here to help you get oriented to State through three-part orientation experience. First, you’ll pick a date for State Orientation to register for courses, meet with an Orientation Leader, and ensure you take steps to get the semester started. Second, you’ll participate in State Engage right before the first day of class to help you become familiar with campus, meet your faculty, and get to know your other classmates. Lastly, the first 5 weeks of the semester is dedicated to State Welcome – where you find your place to get involved on campus, discover how to develop professional skills for a future career, and learn how to improve your academic skills.
