Due to COVID-19 concerns, only electronic transcripts will be sent daily. Mailed/faxed transcript requests will only be processed twice a week.
An official Indiana State University transcript is a complete record of a student's academic work at Indiana State University. To order an official Indiana State University transcript, please click on the appropriate link below.
If you do have access to your MyISU Portal account, you will be able to order your official transcripts by logging into your MyISU account. One of your options will be to order "Official Transcript" under the Grades heading on the Academic Resources tab from the Student Self-Service badge on the MyISU portal. Clicking that link will take you to the Indiana State University Transcript Ordering Portal. Anyone that enters the transcript ordering site through their MyISU Portal account will be able to order transcripts immediately. Transcript requests can typically be processed within one business day of the completed order.
If you do not have access to your MyISU Portal account, you will need to create an account on the Indiana State University Transcript Ordering Portal. The initial process of creating an account on that system could take up to 24 hours, as the Office of Registration and Records will need to validate your account information with our official records. Once your account is established, transcript requests can typically be processed within one business day of the completed order.
Transcript fees are approved by the Board of Trustees. Current fees for a transcript are:
- Certified Electronic PDF Official Transcript: $10.00
- Official Paper Transcript to be mailed: $12.00
- Official Paper Transcript to be picked-up: $12.00

Both paper and electronic transcripts can be ordered online at anytime by current or former students. Please see the Electronic Transcripts page for more information about this option.
There are many University holds that will prevent the release of a transcript. If you have one of these holds, you will not be able to order any transcripts until the hold is cleared with the University.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. When creating my account, what if I don't remember my student ID?
A. Type nine 1's into the box. Ex. 111111111
Q. What do I do if the person I've mailed a transcript to says they did not receive it?
A. Please allow at least 2 weeks for mailed transcripts to reach their destination. If after 2 weeks the recipient still has not received the transcript please contact our office in order for us to send another to the recipient.
Q. Why does my account need to be authenticated?
A. If you do not remember your student ID, we will need to match your information to our system so your transcript will display the correct information. Once you account has been authenticated you will receive an e-mail from our office letting you know you are able to now place orders.
Q. How long does it take to receive e-transcripts?
A. Generally the transcript will be sent out about 15 minutes after the order is placed. The recipient will receive one e-mail with the link for the transcript and a second with the passcode. Based upon how the recipient's e-mail is set up they may need to check their spam/junk folder.
Q. Why are faxes more expensive?
A. We actually send two transcripts to the recipient. They will receive a fax with an unoffical transcript and we will also mail an official transcript to the recipient.
Q. Can I send a transcript to my e-mail and then forward it to someone else?
A. No, once you open the transcript from your e-mail it is unofficial. You will need to use the e-mail of the recipient in your order details so the transcript is sent directly to them.
