Fall 2017

Sunday, August 13

12 PM – 2 PM

Halls open for early-start Academic Learning Communities and Project Success Communities – Summer School students transition to fall housing assignments

Friday, August 19

9 AM – 6 PM

Halls open for incoming first-year and transfer students on designated floors.  Students are assigned designated arrival times.  First contract meal served is lunch, Friday, August 19th.

Saturday, August 20

9 AM– 3 PM

Halls open for incoming first-year and transfer students on designated floors.  Students are assigned designated arrival times.

Sunday, August 21

9 AM – 6 PM

Halls open for returning students.  Students are assigned designated arrival times.

Tuesday, August 22

6:00 PM

First day of classes.  No show date.  Room must be claimed by 6:00 pm.  Failure to claim room may result in student being moved to “space reserved.”  Failure to claim room does not forfeit student’s financial responsibility for contract period.

Monday, September 4

Labor Day.  No day or evening classes.  All University Offices are closed.

Friday, October 6

Fall Break.  No day or evening classes.  All University Offices remain open.

Saturday, November 18

12:00 PM

Halls close for Thanksgiving Break.  Last contract meals served; Sycamore and Lincoln Dining close on Friday November 17th after lunch.  Credits can be used in Generations beginning after lunch on November 18th until 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 21st.

Sunday, November 26

12:00 PM

Halls Open after Thanksgiving Break.  First contract meal served will be Sunday evening in the HMSU Commons.  Sycamore and Lincoln Dining open for breakfast on Monday.

Saturday, December 16

12:00 PM

Halls close for Semester Break.  Contract meals continue through Friday, December 15th, 2:00pm in the HMSU Commons.

Spring 2018

Monday, January 7 – Wednesday, January 10

12 PM – 2 PM Daily

Students withdrawing from the University and/or Academically Dismissed students must check out during these designated days/times.

Halls open for incoming first-year and transfer students only! 

Sunday, January 15

Halls open for returning students.  First contract meal served will be Sunday evening in HMSU Commons.

6:00 PM

Halls close for the semester.  Contract meals continue through Saturday, May 12th, 2:00pm in the HMSU Commons.

Sunday, May 13

Graduate seniors must be checked out by noon.

Summer 2018

Saturday, May 12

Transition to summer housing period. Students continuing with us into summer housing remain in spring assignment.

Sunday, May 13

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Summer school and late-stay students move to summer assignments.

Friday, August 3

12:00 PM

Summer term ends. Students leaving on-campus housing must check out by noon.  Students continuing with on-campus housing in fall remain in summer room.

Sunday, August 12

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Transition from summer to fall assignment.

Note: Limited break space available for an additional charge in select lounges. This space is not guaranteed and is first come, first served during the break housing registration process.
