State Works Award

An education that goes beyond the classroom -- that's what the State Works program provides! Recognizing that money can be an issue for some Sycamores, Indiana State launched the State Works initiative to provide students with on-campus jobs that pay in valuable work experience and help them earn money for tuition, housing, and more.

The goal is to serve 600 Sycamores with unmet financial need by providing each student with a job that not only helps fund their college expenses, but also provides at least 300 hours of resume-building work experience.

The Perks

  • A $1,000 ($500 per semester) textbook award for State's Barnes & Noble bookstore
  • An on-campus job opportunity working a minimum of 10 hours per week
    • Half of your earnings go directly to your bank account
    • Half of your earnings will go toward your unpaid student balance
