Payment Plans

The University is committed to providing a quality education at an affordable price. The Sycamore Plan is not one solution—it is a comprehensive package of three creative financing solutions, offering students and their families the plan that is best for them. Options include the single payment plan, the monthly payment plan, and the variable payment plan.
The Single Payment Plan

This plan requires one payment per semester. For payment due dates for a specific semester or term, click here. Dates for fall and spring semesters are also listed in the Sycamore Plan Brochure.

The Monthly Payment Plan

This plan allows students to spread their fall and spring academic, housing, and laboratory fees over equal monthly payments, payable through Nelnet.  There is a $40 per semester, non-refundable, enrollment fee payable to Nelnet.

The Variable Payment Plan

This plan allows students to spread the amount and timing of their payments, as determined by each individual, up to the final due date. There is a Variable Payment Plan Fee ($25 minimum/$60 maximum per fall and spring semester; $30 per summer session) automatically assessed if academic and mandatory fees remain unpaid as of designated due dates. The University Board of Trustees reserves the right to change fees at any time in the future. The right to correct errors is also reserved.
