Interfraternity Council


The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is composed of 11 fraternity chapters at Indiana State University. The North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) is the national umbrella organization for all IFC fraternities. The NIC strives to "advocate the needs of its member fraternities through enrichment of the fraternity experience; advancement and growth of the fraternity community; and enhancement of the education mission of the hose institutions."

Interested in joining an IFC Chapter:

The Interfraternity Council will be holding Spring Recruitment events throughout the Spring Semester. Individuals interested in learning more about IFC chapters will need to register to participate in Spring Recruitment. Registration will open on January 1, 2019. Please see the link to register here. As part of Spring Recruitment the IFC will host an IFC Kick-Off event in which prosepective students will have an opportunity to learn more about the council and meet with representatives of each of the 11 IFC organizations. IFC Kick-Off will take place on January 20th from 2:30PM-4:00PM in the Student Recreation Center (Mac Courts). To celebrate the selection of new candidates for membership, the council will also host the inaugural 'Signing Day' on Saturday, January 26th. More information regarding 'Signing Day' will be provided during the first week of Spring classes.
