  • Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program

    • Recipients are awarded up to $5000 to defray the costs associated with studying abroad.
  • Boren Scholarships*
    • Funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), these scholarships provide up to $20,000 to undergraduate students from the U.S. to study abroad in areas of the world that are underrepresented in study abroad.
  • British Council*
    • The British Council lists funding and scholarship information for study in the United Kingdom.
  • BUTEX North American Scholarships
    • £500 scholarships are awarded each year to currently registered students at U.S. universities who will study abroad at a BUTEX member institution in the UK.
  • CCSA Scholarship - DEADLINE: 26 OCTOBER 2016
    • CCSA will award up to $1000 per program to students that will create an exciting and engaging multimedia product for their program.
  • Critical Language Scholarship - DEADLINE: 16 NOVEMBER 2016
    • The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a fully funded summer overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Education New Zealand
    • Education New Zealand offers $2,000 in Education New Zealand Study Abraod Travel Awards to help students fund flights to New Zealand.
  • Foundation for Global Scholars
    • FGS awards $2,000 scholarships to U.S. citizens for study abroad.
  • Fund for Education Abroad
    • Scholarships are offered up to $5,000 per semester and are not limited to specific programs, destinations, or fields of study. FEA awards funds to students planning to study abroad on academically rigorous programs with a strong preference for underrepresented students.
  • Fund for International Service Learning
    • Fund for International Service Learning provides scholarships to students enrolled in an international service-learning program.
  • Glimpse Correspondents Program Grants
    • The Glimpse Foundation and the National Geographic Society are seeking talented writers, photographers, and filmmakers. Each selected participant will receive a $600 grant and will see their work published in Glimpse and National Geographic media.
  • Go Overseas
    • Go Overseas awards one $500 scholarship to a student studying abroad. The award will be given through a photo essay contest.
  • Go Overseas, NZ Government & STA Travel Scholarship
    • The New Zealand Government, Go Overseas, and STA Travel have partnered together to offer a FULL tuition scholarship & round-trip flight to study abroad in New Zealand in 2016.
  • Hispanic College Fund*
    • The Hispanic College Fund reaches out to Latino college students in need.
  • Lord Acton Memorial Scholarship
    • One £1,000 scholarship is awarded each year to currently registered students at U.S. universities who will study abroad for at least one semester at a AASAP/UK member institution. There is only one application deadline for an entire academic year and it usually falls in April.
  • The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF)*
    • The National Italian American Foundation awards scholarships and grants to outstanding Italian-American students on the basis of academic merit.
  • New Zealand University Study Abroad Excellence Awards
    • Eight New Zealand universities are pleased to off $500 New Zealand University Study Abroad Excellence Awards for study at one of the eight New Zealand Universities.
  • Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants
    • 50 $1,000 grants are awarded each year to help support undergraduates as they seek knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad.
  • Rotary International
    • Ambassadorial scholarships offered through local Rotary clubs.
  • Shawn Carter Foundation Scholarship
    • SCSF provides need-based grants ranging from $1500 to $2500.
  • Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship
    • Tortuga Backpacks offer a $1,000 study abroad scholarship and one travel backpack. Two scholarships are offered each year, one for the spring semester and one for the fall semester.
  • United Negro College Fund*
    • UNCF offers an array of scholarship programs from the nation’s largerst minority education organization.
  • University Language Services*
    • Take a photo that captures what you learned from studying abroad, write a short description of 100-200 words, and you could win a $500 college scholarship!
  • US-Japan Bridging Foundation Scholarships
    • The Bridging Project offers scholarship to American undergraduate students participating in study-abroad programs in Japan, assisting with the travel and living expenses students will incur while studying abroad in Japan for a semester or an academic year.
  • The Anglo-Jewish Association Scholarship**
    • The Anglo-Jewish Association (AJA) is one of the largest grant making organizations directly supporting Jewish students in financial need to enter further education or studying for full-time degrees at universities in the United Kingdom.
  • The Fulbright U.S. Student Program**
    • The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the Largest U.S. exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide. The program currently awards approximately 1,900 grants annually in all fields of study, and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.
  • Got Scholarship**
    • Offers a number of scholarships to be used for educational expenses in all fields of study.
  • Humane Studies Fellowship**
    • The Humane Studies Fellowship is a non-residency fellowship program that awards up to $15,000 per year.
  • Margarian Scholarship**
    • Rewards a select number of deserving students for their academic and personal achievements. The scholarship is designed for high school juniors or seniors, college/university students, and graduate school students.
  • Marshall Scholarships**
    • Marshall Scholarships allow up to 40 young Americans to study a graduate level degree in any discipline and at any institution in the United Kingdom.

    • This site offers a lot of information about budgeting for your study abroad adventure as well as scholarship opportunities.
  • Postgrad Solutions Study Bursaries**
    • Postgraduate students are eligible to apply for a Postgrad Solutions Study Bursary. Each bursary is worth £500 and they are open to students from anywhere in the world.
  • Raymond Davis Scholarship**
    • This scholarship is given to an advanced-level undergraduate or a graduate student with an academic and/or research focus in a field related to imaging.
  • Varsity Tutors College Scholarships*
    • Monthly essay contest that awards $1,000 to eligible participants.
