  • Wages, stipends, or honoraria
  • Cash awards/prizes, gift cards or other awards and prizes
  • Normal instructional costs, including field trips
  • Expenses not directly related to the service project

Guidelines

Grants will be awarded in the amount of up to $500. Applicants may request less than $500. Grant awards may be less than the requested amount. Student organizations are eligible for one grant each academic year. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.

Student organizations applying must be a registered student organization through the Student Activities and Organization Office and in good standing with the University.

Grant applications must be completed and submitted by a student member or officer of the organization. Grants submitted by faculty or staff will not be considered. Each grant proposal must have the approval of a faculty/staff advisor AND an external community partnership agency.

Funds will be transferred into the account of the student organization within two weeks of receiving the grant. Student organizations must have an agency account with Indiana State University to receive funds.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event.

Each grantee must submit a final grant report within 30 days of the end of their project. The grant report must be signed by the student and student organization advisor. Organizations that do not submit a final report will be ineligible for future funding for a period of two years.
