Alumni Mentors

The Alumni Mentor Program

I am pleased to announce the launch of our new Alumni Mentors program. As you know, many students are passionate about arts and sciences but worry that a degree will not lead directly to a rewarding career. As hundreds of studies and surveys confirm each year, nothing could be further from the truth. The skills and knowledge that you receive with and arts and sciences education prepare you—as well as, or better than other majors—for the rapidly changing economy of the twenty-first century. We have reached out to these College of Arts and Sciences alumni who have agreed to serve as mentors for current or future students. Included are short biographies and an email link. Students, please reach out to these CAS alums and get their advice about their careers and how their degrees here made all of that possible.

Give to the College of Arts and Sciences

Congrats to CAS alums on the Board of Trustees!

The College of Arts and Sciences would like to congratulate CAS alums (and alumni mentors) Robert E. Casey (School Criminology and Security Studies) and Kimberly O. Smith (History) for being respectively appointed and reappointed to the ISU Board of Trustees. Their continuing dedication to the ISU community is deeply appreciated.
