  2. Admissions:
    An individual must be admitted to Indiana State University as either a degree-seeking or non-degree seeking student and must satisfy minimum admission requirements to enroll in an online course or program. Admission requirements and application can be found at indstate.edu/admissions.

  3. Financial Aid
    Students are eligible for consideration for financial aid programs if they are seeking Indiana State degrees or a required teacher certification and are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid. For instructions and online applications, visit indstate.edu/finaid.

Program Information

Indiana State Online offers undergraduate and graduate programs to those interested in continuing their education or advancing their careers. We offer more than 60 programs that can be completed entirely online or with minimal on-campus visits. We also offer a variety of online minors, doctoral and specialist programs, and certificates and licensures to those requiring additional education and training in their degree programs.

Course Information

Courses have been designed to be completed entirely online or with minimal on-campus visitation.

  • All courses require high-speed Internet access.
  • Most courses include audio and video functionality.
  • Some courses also include live and interactive Web-based conferencing.

Indiana State Online Students Residing Outside of Indiana: Each of the states has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering online degrees. While Indiana State University endeavors to offer all of its programs to as wide an audience as possible, all ISU online programs may not be available in all states. Currently, online programs are not offered in the state of Massachusetts. To check the status of programs available in a particular state, visit program availability.

Indiana State University online programs are closed to all students residing in a country other than the United States, including U.S. Territories, or Canada, except U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.

Undergraduate (Fall 2016 - Spring 2017)

Indiana residents
  • 0.5 - 11.5 credits: $310.00 (per credit hour)
  • 12 - 18 credits: $4,273.00 (per semester)
  • Above 18 credits: $4,967.00 (per semester)
Eligible out-of-state online students

Out-of-state residents are eligible for the online rates (listed below) if they are admitted to an Indiana State University online program.
Out-of-state residents who do not meet these eligibility requirements will be charged out-of-state tuition.
BS Nursing (LPN/LVN Completion Track) online program students will be charged full non-resident fees, effective with those admitted for Fall 2015 or later.

  • 0.5 - 11.5 credits: $391.00 (per credit hour)
  • 12 - 18 credits: $5,384.00 (per semester)
  • Above 18 credits: $6,258.00 (per semester)

An online education delivery fee of $30 per undergraduate course will also be assessed to online learning courses (sections 301-309). Additional fees may apply for textbooks and specific course fees.

Graduate (Fall 2016 - Spring 2017)

Indiana residents
  • Fee per credit hour: $396.00
Eligible out-of-state online learning students

Out-of-state residents are eligible for the online rates (listed below) if they are admitted to an Indiana State University online program.

Out-of-state residents who do not meet these eligibility requirements will be charged out-of-state tuition.

  • Fee per credit hour: $499.00
