Program Description | The ensembles ISU Sycamore Singers and the ISU Chorale have an expectation of rehearsing and performing choral music. During this process, students learn particular performances parctices of the music they are rehearsing and performing, including performance practices, issues related to the time period, particular composers and performing venue. By participating in the Classical Music Festival, our students will have the unique experience of rehearsing Classical Masterworks (music written for orchestra, choir, and vocal soloists), repertoire specific to the Classical Era, in the country (Austria), cities (Vienna, Mattesburg and Eisenstadt), and in the performing halls and spaces where many of Joseph Haydn, W. A. Mozart, and Ludwig von Beethoven's works were premiered and performed! |
