In the Fall semester of 2016, the Department of Theater will present their production of Words Upon the Window-Pane by W.B. Yeats, as well as a devised piece created by the students and inspired by the life of author Jonathan Swift, the subject of Words Upon the Window-Pane, and about whom Yeats said, “ We should see certain men and women as if at the edge of a cliff, time broken away from their feet.” After our Terre Haute performance, however, we will be preparing the show for a tour to Dublin, Ireland, where we will be performing the production at the famed Saint Patrick’s Cathedral at the invitation of the Fifteenth Dublin International Symposium on Jonathan Swift in October, 2016. As part of our week in Dublin, we will perform our show, but we’ll also soak up the local sights, culture, and cuisine, as well as enjoy some of the shows performing at the Dublin International Fringe Festival.
