Program Description   The objective of this study abroad experience is to provide students with an understanding of international aviation systems by exploring and examining the Irish system. This approach will allow students to:
  • identify the strengths and weaknesses of Irish aviation systems
  • compare and contrast the differences between U.S. aviation law and Irish aviation law
  • explore international airline operations
  • explore international airport operations
  • hone their communication skills both written and oral
  • explain the contributions of the International Civil Aviation Organization
  • explore the Irish culture through visiting historic landmarks, internally recognized universities, and events that will offer opportunities to interact with local citizens.
  • understand the passenger processing that occurs when traveling through the aviation system as an international passenger

There will be organized educational experiences for the students as well as ample time to explore and interact with the Irish citizens in formal and informal settings. A holistic approach will be taken to not only study the academic components of the Irish Aviation System to immerse the students in the cultural aspects of Ireland.
