| Program Description | The program is intended to prepare future U.S. higher education graduate students to engage in a global society, and introduce professionals in the field to global colleagues. The entire experience is designed to provide a comprehensive look at the higher education system in South Africa. Visiting the higher education institutions provides an immersion experience for both students and professionals into the historical development of the higher education system and the impact of policy and culture on its growth. Students and professionals should develop cultural insights, cross-cultural awareness, knowledge about the South African higher education system, and self-understanding based on respect for difference. |
