The Center for Genomic Advocacy
The Center for Genomic Advocacy (TCGA) promotes the responsible use of genomic technology for the betterment of society through public engagement; social advocacy; and interdisciplinary research in biology, political science, ethics, business, and health
TCGA’s cutting edge work in genomic science puts Indiana State at the forefront of academic innovation. Recently, the center secured the following grants:
- $1.2 million; National Institutes of Health grant to enhance diversity in graduate programs and careers in biomedical sciences
- $200,000; National Science Foundation grant to support graduate research fellowships
- $231,000; American Heart Association grant to study the genetic factors associated with congenital heart defects
