Both Madonna Owen (B.S. '40) and her niece, Linda Owen (B.S. '70, M.S. '76) cherished their years at Indiana State University and their subsequent professional experiences as educators. To perpetuate the legacies of these women and enhance the prospects of educatioinal opportunities for deserving young women needing financial assistance to prepare for a profession as an educator. Madonna and Linda proudly established in 2005 the Madonna Owen and Linda Owen Scholarship. Selection is made by a scholarship committee appointed by the chair of the department.
