This endowed scholarship was established by family members in loving memory of their husband and father, Wayne E. Schomer, who served Indiana State University for more than 37 years. He last served as vice president for advancement from 1966 - 1974. The Schomers have along and well established history with Indiana State University. Recipients must be education majors who actively participate in campus and/or community activities. Selection is based on the recommendation of a scholarship committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Education.
