Description

The men of Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKES) at ISU are again offering free firewood to faculty and staff. Over the course of the past year, we have been engaged in community service projects which involved clearing trees and brush from camps, parks, and outdoor recreation areas. We salvaged the wood which was large enough for use as firewood, then cut, split, and dried it. It is being offered to faculty and staff as follows: Faculty and staff must provide their own vehicle for pickup and transport. PIKES will provide members to load wood into your vehicle. Pickup is from 10am till 1pm on Saturday, September 18 at the rear of the fraternity's Education Center -- 868 North 7th Street. Quantities are limited to two loads per university employee, while supplies last. Loads are approximately 4 feet by 4 feet by 16 inches. We estimate there are approximately 50 loads available. If there is firewood remaining at 1pm, employees may return for two more loads. Distribution is "first come, first served." No reservations will be taken.
